Guided Meditation: Explore Your Being with EcoSpirituality
Welcome to the most global, ongoing and highly energized time of our lives. Before we get to the why (purpose, meaning) I feel it is important to recognize where (sense of place) and when (sense of time) we are today, as I always recommend that we do when entering the Natural World. It can help to ground us into the now, before we get caught up in the rest. So, to begin with, is it light out, dark out, twilight? Is it cloudy, rainy, sunny? Warm, hot, cold dry, humid or wet? Where do we find ourselves at this moment in time? What season is it, what time of year? Is it the rainy season, the snowy cold season, dry, hot, and/or humid season? When are we in the Moon cycle-are we approaching Full , New, quarters? What about the cycles of the year-Equinox, solstice, in our neck of the woods? And what do these cycles mean for us…are we heading into an expansive, growing time, or maybe a quieting time? Cycles within cycles…or as the great German poet, Maria Rainer Rilke has said “I live my life in ever widening circles…” like the ripples after dropping a pebble into a still pond… Rainer Maria Rilke, from Book of Hours I live my life in ever widening circles, each superseding all the previous ones. Perhaps I never shall succeed in reaching the final circle, but attempt I will. I circle around God, the ancient tower, and have been circling for a thousand years, and still I do not know: am I a falcon, a storm, or a continuing great song? Tr. Albert Ernest Flemming
