Deepening Your Yoga Practice: Beyond Āsana [Course]
Patañjali’s Yoga-Sutra (YS) is a canonical text which shaped, and continues to shape, the worlds of Yoga practitioners. In this course, we will gain clarity about the nature of the self, freedom, and the path in the light of the YS. We will unpack relevant sūtra-s (aphorisms) and dip into a few of the traditional Sanskrit commentaries. This will enable us to gain an academically rigorous understanding of the key tenets of the YS and—more importantly—apply it in our daily practice. The heart of this course is practice. Therefore, we will also learn how to handle unwholesome mental states and cultivate wholesome ones. Apart from group discussions on weekly reflective prompts, we will try to build the community needed to sustain our practice. The sessions can be tailored to the individual interest and needs of the participants. I have designed this course as a biweekly, 2-month course, i.e., 16 sessions in total. I encourage all participants to sign-up for all 16 sessions because each week builds upon the previous one. It also helps to keep our minds away from the clock and to focus fully on the process.

An excellent session about 'purpose' and how to 'find' it by doing a personal exploration of the Purushartha (The Human Pursuits.) Abhy is an excellent teacher and guide; helping you to tackle these big questions in a practical way with specific self reflective questions and encouragment.
