Hello, I'm Abhy.
I am a practitioner in the Hindu tradition of Advaita (non-dual) Vedānta. I studied Vedānta under a monastic teacher in India for about six years and also received 200+ hours of Yoga teacher training in 2019. My practice primarily involves inquiry into the nature of the self, often using a scriptural text as a mirror. I like to do various mediative practices and pūjā-s, as well as go on pilgrimages. Currently, I am pursuing a PhD at the University of Virginia. I work on the philosophy and intellectual history of Hinduism, and have a secondary specialization in Buddhism. I am also a Third-Culture Kid (TCK): I have grown up across five countries while nourishing roots in India and the States.
