Hello, I'm Aditya Chothani.

My name is Aditya, and my journey has taken me from the fast-paced world of Wall Street to the reflective life of monkhood and now to the lively atmosphere of being a facilitator in educational spaces for young and adult learners. Pursuing an MA in Psychology in Education, I am part of the Spirit Mind Body Institute (SMBI) at Columbia University. I earned a Diploma in Vedanta Philosophy from the Vedanta Academy and hold a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from George Washington University. Despite being on a path to conventional success, I felt like an outsider in the corporate world. Working as an investment banker in India, I discovered Vedanta Philosophy through weekly discourses, which resonated deeply with me. This led me to leave my corporate career and immerse myself in a three-year monastic program at the Vedanta Academy. My time there allowed me to integrate this knowledge into my daily life, fostering a spirit of service and community welfare. After the Academy, I briefly returned to the corporate world before transitioning to a career in Psychology in Education. For over five years, I have conducted weekly Vedanta Philosophy classes for adults worldwide, teaching emotional regulation and higher values. As a registered yoga teacher, my classes focus on finding one’s spiritual center through physical practice. With a diverse background spanning psychology, philosophy, education, and business, my holistic lifestyle emphasizes the integration of mind, body, and spirit, focusing on personal growth and community involvement. During my leisure time, you can find me running in the early morning light or finding strength and calm on my yoga mat or scaling the walls at a climbing gym or engrossed in a good book or my favorite music.
